Walmart Announces New White Label Delivery
The new delivery service called Walmart GoLocal hopes to serve as a white-label service for large and small businesses. Ideally, they hope to press forward, moving ahead of competitors like Uber and DoorDash. Walmart hopes that adding GoLocal to its existing repertoire of delivery services will help to edge out Amazon.Â
What's In It For Me?
While Walmart claims that it will make deliveries via drone or an autonomous vehicle, that may be a little further off. However, Walmart has already invested in DroneUp’s 10,000 Federal Aviation Administration certified pilots and Cruise’s self-driving electric cars.
In Conclusion
Both Postmates and DoorDash are already offering these solutions, so we will be eager to see how GoLocal shapes up for Walmart’s new white label delivery service will stack up. However, they’ve been very keen on using words like “competitively priced” which makes us a little more interested than we normally would’ve been. What do you think about this new service?
