S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: A Post-Apocalyptic Game We're Excited For

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Picking Up Where We Left Off

Unlike its three predecessors, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will feature an expansive open world for the first time in the series’ history. The post-apocalyptic game features major AI improvements and new characters not seen before.

Latest S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Updates

Similar to its predecessor, GSC Game World promises that this one will also feature fast-paced scenery changes, ominous landscapes, and terrifying monsters. As a matter of fact, they recently released an in-engine gameplay trailer, which seems more to me as a string of cutscenes, can be watched here:

Presumed Plot

Players will take the role of a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. inhabiting the Chernobyl exclusion Zone. In this Zone, each choice will drastically affect both the narrative and the world. Frequently, the Zone will provide each player a unique experience every playthrough.

STALKER 2 artwork

Coupled with a geiger counter and radioactive suit, players will encounter various mutants, anomalies, and other scavengers in the Zone hunting for treasure. It will take a skilled S.T.A.L.K.E.R. to make it through the Zone in one piece.

In Conclusion

Ultimately, we expect S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 to land sometime in 2021, likely near the end of the year. While it won’t hit some of the same notes as Cyberpunk 2077, it’ll still have hyper-realistic renditions of the radioactive atmosphere.
