Professional IT Career

Hayley started developing websites at the age of 7, on a platform called, Kind Web. Initially, her website was to help people come up with interesting and unique layouts for their NeoPets profile pages (before they disabled the use of external HTML, ~2007). After a few months, however, she learned more and more ways to customize profiles and provide “shells” or “frameworks” for basic HTML & CSS websites. All of her web development knowledge up until this point had been thanks to a site by the name of Funky Chickens.

If we fast forward a few years to high school, Hayley spent most of her free time in classes working on Graphic Design projects – modifying images, creating digital artwork, and so on. After she graduated, she began attending school at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, focusing on Informatics. During her college career, she completed three (3), four-month internships at General Electric as part of their Information Technology Leadership Program. She acted as an IT Project Manager and ERP Project Manager in those positions.

After graduating from IU, Hayley accepted a full time position with Google in Ann Arbor, MI. After a year at Google, Hayley worked as a Project Manager at an eCommerce web development agency for 2 years. Currently, Hayley works full-time, remotely, as a Senior Digital Solutions Consultant for Blue Acorn iCi. Hayley officially founded Hailstorm-Development on January 10th, 2019.
