2019 was an eventful year for the team. We launched two websites: one for non-profit organization Influence the Cause East Jordan, MI) and financial advising company, Strive Financial (Howell, MI) in September 2019. These revamped company “digital storefronts” have helped streamline employee workflow and improved their overall productivity, allowing them to focus on other business priorities.
2019 Site Builds
- Sea Otter Island National Park – A training website made for the National Park Service. Established with the help of Eleanor Roosevelt in 1932, Sea Otter Island National Park preserves both human history and natural resources for the visitors of today.
- National Center on Accessibility – The National Center on Accessibility promotes access and inclusion for people with disabilities in parks, recreation, and tourism. NCA was established through a cooperative agreement between Indiana University and the National Park Service. Over nearly three decades, NCA has emerged as a leading authority on access issues unique to park and recreation programs and facilities.
- ProV (Marketing/Sell site) – proValens Learning is a collaboration between the many federal, state, local, and non-profit organizations that steward parks and protected areas, manage recreation programs and facilities, and offer health enhancements with the Eppley Institute for Parks and Public Lands at Indiana University. Our website is an online learning portal that improves the stewardship of natural, cultural, and historic sites, while enhancing the experiences for all people who visit them.
- ProValens Rebuild/Migration from Magento 1 to WordPress – ProValens offers various types of courses on a range of topics to help meet the needs of aspiring and experienced parks and land management professionals and the agencies they serve.
2019 Maintenance Work
We don’t only do rebuilds and implementations, we do maintenance too! This year, we updated and maintained several sites including:
- PFA Jets – When you book a private jet charter with PrivateFlite Aviation, you’ll experience the kind of award-winning services you expect from a leader in the aviation business, including: impeccable safety record, 50 years of combined experience in Aircraft Operation and Management, dedicated Flight Coordinators that are available 24/7, access to an expansive network of approved aircraft charter brokers, full concierge services, a diverse fleet of aircraft available, regional and national flight options, and more!
- WXC MMA – One of Michigan’s most well-known MMA promotions, featuring top talent from gyms across the state. WXC has several notable alumni including Bobby Nash, Daron Cruickshank, Amanda Cooper, Jarred Brooks, Johnny Bedford, Joe Riggs, Pat Walsh, Cody Stamann, Bobby Moffet, Josh Parisian, Leroy Johnson, Sabah Homasi, Dequan Townsend, and Jamahal Hill.
- Influence the Cause – A non-profit organization that aims to help raise awareness of domestic violence. Influence the Cause donates all proceeds received from t-shirt or wristband purchases directly to victims of domestic violence in the area. Last year, ITC was able to raise and donate $6,038.
- Strive Financial – Strive Financial has been helping individuals, families, and business owners protect their assets, prepare for uncertainty, and plan for retirement since 2005. Their website features a client portal login and custom quote applications.
Relocation
In late October 2019, Hailstorm-Development relocated from Fowlerville, MI to Cary, NC. With the summer internships having come to a close, and maintenance work was slowing due to the holiday season, we were able to get some quality R&R in and are still seeking a permanent location to settle into in the Triangle/RTP area.
So, What’s Next?
For now, we’re going to hang out in the Raleigh area, so if you’re in the market for a new web designer/developer, you know the drill – contact us.
We’re going to continue working with our clients to keep their websites up to date with fresh content regularly. We have two projects that are in progress that we are super stoked to unveil, but they’re under wraps for now…Keep an eye on our blog for more on those in the coming weeks. We have a few internal processes that are also being reworked and we are confident that we will be able to automate several tasks, further reducing cost for our customers.
Special Thanks
Special thanks and shoutouts to Andrea Howland, Josh Visel, Curry Jenkins, Brandon Baumer, Deanna Denny, Dr. Sarah Jones, Cindy & Steve Jones, Jordan Cobe, Conrad Loucks, and a whole bunch of other people. We couldn’t have done this without all of your help, so thanks, seriously.
