Lara Croft Returns This Year
Last Friday, it was announced that Amazon is developing a TV series based on the popular game, Tomb Raider. Additionally, it was also announced that a new movie is in the works. Furthermore, Crystal Dynamics is putting the finishing touches on the next game installment to be released this year as well. So, it looks like Lara Croft returns this year in multiple sectors.
This isn’t the first video-game-turned-show we’ve seen hit the ‘net in the last two years, with Netflix’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners already being renewed for a second season after only two episodes. Also, Amazon has mentioned they’re working on a God of War TV series. Ultimately, we will have to wait and see how the releases of Horizon Zero Dawn and Twisted Metal go, in addition to the anime Netflix is working on for Tomb Raider, too.
In Conclusion
Though the details are scarce on the new Tomb Raider releases, I can safely say I’m waiting for their releases with bated breath and dual pistols equipped. I might even pull out my Tomb Raider I, II, and III games… Lara Croft be praised.
