If you’ve played one of the games in the Dead Space series, you’ll be excited to hear that EA is targeting the remake of the original game in 2023. Unfortunately, if you were hoping to see Dead Space 4, that is still on hiatus after its cancelation in 2013. Lastly, if you’re in the “haven’t heard of it, haven’t played it” group, in short, you must shoot aliens’ limbs to kill them quickly and effectively. Also, it’s absolutely terrifying.
Shoot the Limbs!
Early on in the first installment, an engineer known only by the name of “Benson” and the voice left on audio logs throughout the Ishimura, warns Isaac that the aliens will only perish if you, “cut off their limbs.” It is unclear if Benson survived, but is implied that he was killed by a slasher near where Isaac obtains the Plasma Cutter.
Are You Excited for the Remake?
Considering how many nightmares the original gave me, I’m torn between being terrified and excited to hear the remake news. Are you a Dead Space fan? Let us know!
