Is It True? Ubisoft Greenlights New Splinter Cell Game
When we first hear news that Ubisoft greenlights a new Splinter Cell game, we do a lot of Googling. But, for the first time in ten years, we’ve confirmed that a new Splinter Cell game is coming. At this time, we aren’t sure who is working on the project, but it has been confirmed by two employees that knew of the plans for development were not taking place in its HQ in Montreal.

Following a period of discrimination and sexual harassment allegations, Ubisoft aims to rebuild its culture and image to align with the acceptance of all individuals and discipline for those that have acted out of line.
Additionally, Ubisoft’s CEO has said that, “the Splinter Cell series needed to evolve before it could make a comeback.” This time around, we may see a vastly different version of Sam Fisher that we’ve seen before.
In Conclusion
While it’s unsure what the release timeline looks like for the next Splinter Cell game, the success of other Ubisoft franchises like Assassin’s Creed and The Division allow developers to shift focus to fresher projects. What do you think, will we see a new Splinter Cell game in 2023? Let us know in the comments below! Personally, we’re excited Ubisoft greenlights a new Splinter Cell game – it’s been too long!
