Amateur MMA

After training for 1 year at a local gym, Hayley joined SFS in May 2016. She trained 25-30 hours per week and took her first amateur MMA fight in September 2016 at bantamweight (135 lbs).

Second, she fought Jennifer Johnson (2-0) at EMU and won by second-round knockout/TKO.

Third, in March 2017, she entered the cage to face Amanda LaBo in a catchweight bout at 130 lbs. Turner defeated Amanda by second-round armbar. Turner finished her amateur career with 3 wins – all by first or second round referee stoppage.

Professional MMA

After defeating LaBo, Turner announced her decision to go pro. In September 2017, the Hailstorm confirmed she signed a contract to make her debut against Bellator veteran Chrissie “The Demon” Daniels. The two briefly engaged in standup, until Turner hit a Harai goshi. After scrambling, Turner gained the advantage in a Thai clinch. After knocking her out by a vicious elbow and following up with 1 minute of ground-and-point, Turner defeated Daniels by first-round TKO. This win moved her professional record to 1-0.

Next, Turner faced Jessica “The Black Widow” Borga in April 2018. She lost by first-round TKO.

After returning to Michigan, Hayley took on Taylor Turner for CLIP in November 2018. The Hailstorm won via second-round armbar. The fight was the first female fight in history at the Motor City Casino in Detroit, MI.

Later, Turner was offered a catchweight fight against Taylor’s teammate, Christina “Roadhouse” Ricker. The bout was for a catchweight at 130 lbs. They fought for Valor Fighting Challenge on January 19th, 2019, at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium and Coliseum.
